Advanced Tutor Training
Advanced AVID tutor training is designed to refine the skills of tutors in order to continue to provide collaborative, inquiry-based tutorials.
Prerequisites: College tutors must have completed 16 hours of tutor training. AVID coordinator, elective teacher or site tutor trainer must have attended the Tutorology strand at Summer Institute or RIMS PATH Tutorology and offered on-going coaching/ debriefing opportunities for the tutors at their site (over the basic 16 hours of Level 1 training). AVID coordinator, elective teacher or site tutor trainer must participate in the training with the college tutors.

Secondary Content teachers will participate in a 2-Day AVID Write Path training facilitated by AVID content experts.

Learn the basics of the AVID tutorial model and become comfortable with the critical thinking model. Participate in content driven tutorials.
